There are some precise flow meters in the system to measure and provide total incoming fuel, fuel transferred to daily tank , fuel feed to generators, main engine, boiler , etc., fuel returned back from consumers to daily tank.
The system is capable to displays the mass, temperature, volume and density. With the help of the application on display, the total fuel bunkered and the quality of the fuel can be analyzed on line.
The amount of fuel which is required for usage of the day, this amount is approximately known and transfer from storage tank to daily tank in daily bases.
Outlet of daily tank to main engine and other consumers is measured, also the unused fuel that returns back to daily tank as well.
By placing flow meters in right places most of work has been done, the rest of work i.e. calculations for giving better picture of vessel fuel data is going to be done by application in manager office.
